well my most recent client has moved in to his new bedroom..so far he is very pleased. In fact, he is sleeping better so this is a very good thing. We finally got his drapes “installed”..we did not do the plumbing galvanized rod thing but went with Allen + Roth brushed nickel rods instead (from this very elite store) seriously they were not cheap in my book but they look great with the grommet drapes.love the grommet panels..they are nicely lined, a good value. Still trying to decide if I should add a fourth panel on the french doors (opinions??)…not sure if you can see where my draper installer broke a window during the installation?? old wavy glass too..oh well, it was an accident and he is cute and sweet (and paid for the rearview mirror i recently ripped off of the car when backing out of the garage) so we’ll let it slide.
But we still need to find large casters for the bed..it is old and has tiny casters but i want big industrial casters (that lock for this client)to add a little height and modern look…they have to have stems not plates..so that and a big star or something unique (hope to find something at Round Top next week) for above the bed..and we will be done.
the client loved the cowhide rug but it was not vacumn or toy friendly so we removed the piece for a more simple look;;
stay tuned for a post on the new “fancy” al fresco dining area we have created for this client.

Awesome, awesome room Holly! I hope your client & your drapery installer insisted you keep the red chair, I loved it!
I am a symmetry freak, so take it with a grain of salt, but I do like the the idea of a 4th panel. I can't help it, I am a freak like that.
Drew is one lucky kid with a very cool room, and a great momma!

Very cute!! I do think you need a 4th panel. Will make everything uniform and look more like windows than doors.

Sooo cute! I do think the 4th panel would be good – that way you don’t immediately think “why/how is that off?” it would just blend in more. But I’m weird like that. Glad the kiddo approves!

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

Fabulous room, Holly! I love ALL of it. Glad your client is so happy.
I also would have a 4th panel. It just seems like it would make the room feel “right”.
Ditto what Christy said about Drew being a lucky kid with the cool room and a great mama!

Okay, Hol, I can’t tell if your comment about CB paint was serious or sarcasm….
With the move I’ll be redoing furniture soon and need to “refresh” some ugly old dressers that have been in the basement for the last three years. Really? Chalkboard paint??
