I have been looking all over for the perfect “new baby” fabrics but i have to admit i keep coming back to the these..i used the french fox toile in Drew’s nursery (picture from June 2005 issue of BHG)..i never added this companion Alphabet Soup
print but i love it..if i use the same bumper again i may use the this print too this time. I actually carried a sample of the French Fox fabric in my purse for YEARS before I was even pregnant!..so it is hard to let go..but when they are so many gorgeous fabrics out there (and cheap, see the blue trellis below from Waverly and fabric.com) it is hard not to choose another..what is a mama to do?!stay tuned!

note: both fabrics are manufactured by American Folk & Fabric..they do amazing reprints of historical children’s fabrics and florals..Minky Delight Fabrics has a great selection as does Reprodepot.com (or they did in the past) fyi. Also, the french fox (shown on the bag) does have some pink in it but when paired with red stripe or red check it is boy-ok (I think, my husband might disagree) but the pink could be played up..the perfect baby fabric if you are not finding out the sex..which i could never do;;
