This year it was called the “Country Flavors Festival” I believe, there is always some kind of festival goig on this time of year in our area…SO, my friend Missy (a florist..a name that really does not do her justice, she has a masters in horticulture!) and I set up a booth this weekend at the “festival”..it was on the square and a bit windy but a great day. We did not have a ton of customers but I finally sold two big items at the end of the day so I was happy. Mostly it was fun to just hang out with friends, eat the festival food and let our boys play! Missy had some great plants and gardening accessories.notice her porch swing display!..enjoy the pictures!

Sounds like we had similar experiences this past weekend….. sitting at shows waiting for sales!! I love Brenham and stay at the Ant Street Inn sometimes when I come to Round Top.

Now, for Fredericksburg – after you go to Rather Sweet, stroll down the street to Lauren Bade and a few shops over, Something Different Two. There is not a sign at Something Different, but you will know it is a cool shop when you peek in the windows. Bejas is a fun place to sit outside and eat lunch – right after it you should at least peek in Haberdashery – clothing, and very, very creative. Jill, the owner, used to be a designer for Homestead.

Red and Threads are on the other end of Main Street so maybe you should get in the car to drive down there. We have a new pizza and pasta place called West End Pizza that would be fun for lunch or dinner.

Also, about mid way down the street between Rather Sweet and Red, is Zertz – a fun shop with some home things and clothing and gifts.

Have you tried to get in Abby’s? Have you stayed there before? My friend, Carolyn, owns it as well as being the manager of Red. Sorry for the way too long comment – let me know if you want any more info – my email is annw1953@gmail.com

    Have fun!!

I absolutely loved your booth. I am in the process of changing my set-up and really enjoyed looking at yours. I wish I could have seen it in person, but was busy at a show in Bellville. I have had better luck at shows in Bellville than I have in Brenham. I have been attending Market Days there for several years now.
