I promise this hormone-fest will be over soon…or not..this is semi-home related (although what is more “home” than a new baby so i will stop apologizing, after all this is MY blog)…see what I mean..HORMONES. RAGING. (stay out of the way)

Ok so i mentioned the “push present”.. we are not big into this kind of thing at all..just having a baby (especially after experiencing infertility) is such a blessing, who needs gifts..but i did mention it on this blog in relation to the Lisa Leonard necklace.. I think my poor husband saw the hint to late and felt the pressure (sorry baby, no gifts required) BUT i am excited he DID come up with a great idea..much better than the necklace (sorry Lisa)… he had our friends who horticulture-y people redo some of our front flower beds! Remember i posted a while back about how it was all a little shabby..some overgrown shrubs that needed shaping..my love affair with mulch that just never happens, etc.. WELL they did it all IN THE ONE EVENING I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL..awesome friends, awesome husband..I only had to do three pushes so i am not even sure i deserve the gift but i sure am enjoying it…

Notice the crying face as I walked out the front door..as soon as we got home with Henry i said “lets go out front” (we can in the back door from the garage)”and take Henry’s picture”..Daddy’s all like “sure lets go outside”..and the moment i opened the porch i could see..FRESH MULCH. PLANTS. TRIMMED SHRUBS. I started crying over landscaping..it was great, until we accidently locked ourselves out of the front door..but we got in fast…

So that’s my push present story..does anyone else have one????

oh and, i know you are tired of seeing me in this brown dress, i am sure my husband is too..it has been that or pajamas since we got home last monday!;; I have no idea if anything else even fits and i really dont care right now (and if you want to make an issue of it i just dare you to leave a comment) See?? the hormones are bad..pray for my family;;

I would just love, love your "push present"!!!! How wonderful!

My Henry is 6 months old. While pregnant, I painted a nursery mural for an expecting couple. When I went into the space, I noticed a HUGE Louis Vuitton baby bag. The husband said it was an early "push present" (rough, huh?)! I wiped the drool and immediately told my husband about this!

My husband just laughed and told me I already got my "push present"…leopard carpet! We had just switched around 5 rooms to prepare for Henry. I really wanted leopard carpet, so I got my wish…in my husband's office and up our stairway and down our hallway! I'll take my "push present" any day (while secretly waiting for that L.V. bag! Ha!)

Holy, you're not hormonal. Just a woman with high emotions from being super happy and super tired.

That's a very thoughtful push present, even more "personalized" than the necklace.

hahaha…what a funny post. I can remember how hormonal I was post-babies, and can totally relate. I was never lucky enough to receive such a fabulous push present…….clearly a link was missing in the daddy dept…..he didn't read the right book or blog! :)

What a sweet and thoughtful present! I don't care how many times you had to push, you deserve some pampering! Let the hormones rage, girl, you deserve it.

I can totally relate to your story! This is my first time to comment on your blog but I've been a huge fan and visitor for a while!

    My push present:

My father and step-mom stayed with us for about a week (I had an induced labor mainly so he could be there – they live 12 hours away). It was very important to me that when my husband, Ellie and I came home from the hospital, we did that alone – just the 3 of us. I wanted our 2 dogs to feel safe and be at their calmest (which they're a little anxious around new people).
My step-mom and sister and completely cleaned our house SPOTLESS – I mean, they cleaned the base boards, polished my silver containers in the bathroom, even cleaned the oven!!
On top of all that, they had set our dining room table with a sweet little menu card and our dinner was in the oven. Soft music and only lamps were on.
I walked in and started sobbing – it was so calming and wonderful. I was so hormonal I coudln't do anything else.

It the best push present I could have ever, ever, ever hoped for!!

So sweet! I say that's an awesome push present!! I am loving just looking at all these sweet pictures…oh, I just want to cry! :o ) Babies are one of the most precious gifts we could receive from above. God sure does love us, doesn't He?? Undeniable!

You look absolutely beautiful! I seriously wore one of my big long dresses for a solid month after Jack arrived. I eventually got to the point where I wanted to torch it in the backyard because I wore it every. single. day. Haha!

    Ohhh, these are the days… :o )

You look great, and no, you don't sound hormonal. Just happy and tired and like a Mama. My husband isn't the big romantic gesture type and I pretty much had to shop for my own presents, but I think your hubby surprising you with the landscaping is incredibly sweet and thoughtful and dare I say it, romantic. It's practical romance, and there ain't nothin wrong with that. What a sweet man you have and beautiful boys you are blessed with!

p.s. If you are feeling up to it, will you swing by and give me your opinion on the second to most recent post of mine {the Ballard monogram pillow issue} I sure could use your input. I think i'm leaning toward linen {not burlap} and I'm not sure which size pillow and which monogram. I know you are the monogram queen. Thanks!

Congratulations to you and your family on your sweet, baby boy! He is lovely and you look like a happy mum (and so pretty, by the way)! Enjoy your pajama filled days, snuggled up with your new baby. As you know, they fly by too quickly.

    Cheers,
    Linda
