Funny thing happened this week..i got two emails (and even a phone call) looking for a source on the houndstooth fabric on this Victorian chair from Fran Keenan’s home. Michelle, the blog reader who called, said she thought it was in a fall 2007 issue so i went to my stack! Sure enough, there in the November 2007 issue the sourcing says the fabric is “magazine street weave” by Diamond Baratta Design for Lee Joffa, available through Pacific Design Services 310/360-6418. So there you go, if you too are in love with little Ella’s room there is the source.. You might also find a budget version of this fab fabric here… Premier has large houndstooth prints in several colorways so check it out.. oh, and I also LOVE how they painted the walls in this little room!

She has a really interesting mix of prints and fabrics in her room. I like the headboard and footboard. ;;;

I was just at JoAnns this weekend and they had a fabric that looked exactly like that (I was considering buying some for redoing a chair).

I, too, have thought about this room dozens of times! I love the letters on the wall. Does anyone have ideas on how she did this? When the article came out I remember that cottageliving.com had instructions but at the time I didn't think to go look. Now I could kick myself! I would love to do this in our playroom. Thanks!

I was reading in a magazine this week – Town and Country – that hounds tooth will be big this fall & winter. Of course they were talking about fashion. But you know how design follows fashion.
