ok it turns out two kids are, well more work..more joy and more fun but reality has finally hit..i think i was on some kind of mommy endorophin high the last couple of weeks and yall, i am coming down. SO i may not be posting as much as i learn to juggle the needs of TWO little boys AND keep my sanity but i will be posting an update soon on this room and more.. just not every day..that was madness. SO i am trying to take it a little slower and find a balance and be gentle with myself and my family. Last week i tried to hard to be on the ball and i think all it did was cause me to crash over the weekend..

Just wanted to be real, it’s not all pretty fabric and photo shoots over here every day..i need to clean toilets this morning and try to go 8 hours without eating chocolate if possible AND be patient with my rowdy big boy…suddenly the burlap cafe curtains i wanted to make to cover the upstairs AC unit just dont seem that urgent or photo/blog worthy;;

thanks for your patience and for reading my blog.
[oh and why this image?? well i am listening to the View while i type this and i remembered i had this image on my computer from one of Whoopi's homes..she had/has a great shabby chic house in CA designed by the fab Sue Balmforth of BOUNTIFUL...we'll do more on Bountiful and Sue later, you know, when Henry starts school and i have time;;]

    Good for you! Each baby brings new joy and new challenges into our lives. You already have your priorities straight and the Lord will bless that. Thanks for being real and living this crazy life alongside me! We'll learn together!

    Love ya!

    Just keep telling yourself…"I'm going to miss this"…things will get easier "this too shall pass"….

    Good for you! Take it slow, girl. The first few months with two were hard for me. After awhile it will get much easier, especially since Drew is older. Give yourself a break. I had to learn the hard way that I couldn't do it all. You're doing great! :)

    Yes, some adapting is in order, and you need to get your home routine set before blogging. Plus, you must be tired, so you should rest as much as you can (i.e. nap). The blogosphere will still be here!

    Going from one kid to two kids is definitely the hardest. So when you have your third kid, hehe, it won't be as hard. Things are never going to be clean again, okay? I'm just kidding with you, where would we be without a little humor? :) But it IS going to take some time to adjust and don't worry about it. You will be fine. Don't forget to take care of yourself too!

    Are we on the same wavelength or what??? Thanks for the honesty. I too am just trying to keep my sanity over here and blogging can't be priority number 1, much as I'd sometimes like to let it be. I love your blog so will always be here whenever you post. Talk to you soon,

    Kari

    p.s. I also LOVE Sue Balmforth. So funny!

    Girl, I know just how you feel. I was all "gangbusters" last week reorganizing, painting, blogging, etc. and I have just hit the wall. It comes in spurts! I keep up with 3 kiddos under 7 and I totally sympathize…we will all be here when you get back!

    I think all "mommies" on the blogosphere are having a slowdown! Erica at Urban Grace is exhausted and figuring out even her loving little dog Paisley is not being baby ready…but on the bright side, check out Darby's last post with her hilarious three kids…John Martin's meltdowns are web legendary! We are still here when you lovely ladies catch your breaths and five minutes, collectively…those heavenly families come first…and always will!!

    I wanted to comment with encouraging words…but the thought of Whoopi with a shabby chic home just really threw me off. I'm trying to digest that. I see her space as more sleek and contemporary. Interesting.
