I totally agree with what Melissa said. I've never agreed with the theory that a lot of designers say that you should only have family photos in a family room. My house is a home for my family, not a showplace for visitors. Thanks for all the great photo ideas!

Amen! I am giggling because in my classroom we have a gallery of the children's family portraits then use their snapshots for center labels, and everything else for that same reason. Couldnt' have connected it to home- til now. Sometimes I am so 1 dimensional.

Great post! I blog so I can be as authentic and as transparent as possible with our joys and sorrows so our kids can look back one day and see how God led and carried us through. And I pray that it will be a testimony to those who may be reading through our different seasons of life.

And I absolutely LOVE the verse listed at the end of this post.
