I will certainly look for this book! I watched John & Staci being interviewed on TBN this morning and i thought i would read up about them…they were so realistic and not hiding the fact that marriage is a tough institution.

I can’t remember how I came across your blog or what made me think to check in today, but how WILD…I went to the same Love & War event in Austin! And was SO NOT wanting to go, but was really glad I did. We plan to read the book with our neighbors and meet together with a glass of wine after kids go to bed every other week to talk about marriage. Oooohh…I think I’ll have to see if I can’t find that one. I’m always on the look out for a good read, of any kind. And thanks for sharing on your blog, so true, a good Godly marriage does indeed make a home a home.

Wise and lively! I can’t think of a better compliment. Thanks. No matter what age or stage of marriage, you always think it could be better – because it could – it’s a huge part of our journey of being transformed into His likeness. The conference was everything you said. i appreciate the risk they took in putting themselves out there for us. Whether it’s marriage or a family relationship or a friendship or even our relationships within the Body of Christ, I’m learning the big difference between cynicism and resignation versus peace and hope. Going where He asks me to go for personal healing and restoration brings peace and hope – a place where I can live whether the relationship changes or not. Great book!

absolutely..the centrality of God and the Gospel to marriage is the main point of the book…not a new idea but the way they explore the topic is fresh i think and makes a lot of really applicable sense..check out the website or at least the reviews.

I have not read this. However I think the only thing that trumps a good marriage is God… Prayerfully with God we have good marriages.

Funny to see this post b/c yesterday I sat down with this book (a Christmas gift) and read the first half of it. It is great, and I love having them write together and give their unique commentary on the same incidents.

Thanks for sharing this info. I have A cheese alert button also, but I read her book Captivating and thought parts of it were amazing. I will be going out to get this book.
