Just discovered your blog today. Love your style and look forward to reading more. We live in San Antonio and my son (7) loves the Alamo. We also got married in SA and had our reception at La Mansion. What a wonderful place to stay. sm

We made a trek to the Alamo over Spring Break. And my kids, 12, 14, and 16 only lasted about 10 minutes. Of course, the day before we dragged them to the other missions. Those were fun but probably a long day for the kids.

Now just head to Washington-on-the-Brazos during bluebonnets and let us see the pics! I have pics of my son there. Eighteen months and having fun in the bluebonnets. But he’s six-feet tall and sixteen now and that seems a while ago!

We stayed at the Omni too last time we were in SA. Really cool hotel we loved it!

what a great post, thanks for sharing! I love these type fun trips with the family. We are getting geared up to take our tradition of a family road trip for spring break…always trying to see spots in Our America.

I think the trolley in the background makes the photo even more appealing, love the red pop of color, it matches the pop in your Davey Crockett’s eyes, beaming like his smile!

Dude! That’s not a bus…it’s a trolley…and a bright, cheery red one at that! Totally makes the picture. Without the unexpected flair of the trolley, it’s just a regular ol’ Alamo shot. LOVE it!
