This is a replay from an Easter egg hunt we had several  years back in our yard…

Here are my simple hints for such an event:

  • Go to Wal-Mart or Hobby Lobby and get several yards of cheap colorful fabric
  • Pull out of your white dishes, glass jars, tin or wood trays and tie on lots of colorful ribbons
  • Buy some tulips or pick wildflowers or branches out of your yard and put in a big pitcher for a centerpiece
  • Have your mom stop by a bakery on the way into town to get pastries and kolaches to go with a simple breakfast casserole, fruit, and of course, deviled eggs..I make the Paula Deen recipe with bacon on top! Bottom line..keep it simple!
  • Use plastic plates…I love pretty dishes but sometimes it is just okay and fitting!
  • Don’t clean your house because everyone will be outside…

Just don’t allow yourself to overdo it and stress, most people don’t notice (or frankly appreciate) those exhausting little things that zap us when we have guests in our home..instead keep it simple and enjoy your family and little bunnies (and their fat baby legs)!

And remember our Savior is RISEN and He is calling your name!

Happy Easter 2010

Beautiful, yet simple enough to remember the true meaning of Easter. The bunny tail is the precious, and so are those chunky thighs!

    Blessings,
