Paper Source Houston is OPEN!  It’s in Highland Village on Westheimer..Pardon the photos by phone a.k.a. “lazy summer blogging,” but I thought y’all might enjoy a peek inside.

I have always just loved their “bee” logo! I made a quick tour yesterday and it was inspiring.  How could it not be..look at the rows and rows of gorgeous paper…paper and ribbon are just below fabric on my list of favorite things in the world..such a product of creativity and source of beauty!

And they are creative in many areas, not just with paper, look at this use of doors behind their “card wall”..so cute!

Oh and look what’s is right next door to Paper Source’s Houston location…

That’s right…Sprinkles Cupcake bar..I did not go in..but it sure looks fun!

Have you ever had a Sprinkles cupcake?? How about this place?  I actually saw mention on google homepage this morning that cupcakes are going “out of style?”  funny thought..what do you think? are you over cupcakes..how did I get from Paper Source to Cupcakes?! ha!

Oh and thanks for the Lego love and empathy on the last post!

I hope it isn’t over for cupcakes. I’m just not ready for them to be over yet. There is just something so fun about them.

I too saw the cupcake thing on Google or Yahoo. I was like WHAT?!?!? Umm, hate to tell you Google guru, but you are sadly mistaken. I think cupcakes are in their prime! :) That place looks FAB! And I am SO jealous you have a paper source right there! I’m addicted to that place. They have the best papers. I always buy my christmas wrapping paper there and always get so many compliments.

Oh yes, been to Sprinkles and there are a couple of amazing treats…..been lucky, never stood in a long line, although heard it can be LONG and hot in the sun! Not very big place. I think Oooo, LaLa in Katy is better!!! and so much closer!! oxoxoxoox

Oh, what a dream! I wish we had something like that in my hometown.
PS– whoever said cupcakes are “out” is nuts!

We went to paper source on saturday and watched some of their product demonstrations. It was great, I love their stuff- made me want to start making my own cards and envelopes (in my spare time-HA!)
Also, as a self proclaimed cupcake connoisseur, Sprinkles is great but Crave is slightly better. Sugarbabys, eh – cake is a little dry for me. Celebrity Cupcake in the Village is pretty good as well. I could go on and on…

I’m looking forward to heading down to Paper Source. Looks fabulous! I love pencils and paper goods. The teacher in me, perhaps? And cupcakes will never go out of style in my book. They’ve been “in style” around my house for about 35 years. Like Burberry. :) I love Crave, but haven’t had Sprinkles yet. I love that Crave is a Houston company!

Yes, Crave cupcakes are to DIE FOR! And now that you mentioned it…I will be craving one all weekend.

Oh, Holly, I am a cupcake expert. I take it very seriously. Of course I’ve been to Sprinkles, but my top very favorite of all time cupcake in the entire City of Houston (including Katy, Sugarland, etc) is the Strawberry Cupcake from Crave, followed by the Red Velvet from Sugarbaby, then the Chocolate Turtle Cake from The Dessert Shoppe (something in the Heights), then Carrot Cake cupcake from Dessert Gallery…

Sprinkles are ok but not as good as Crave.

Holly, I think you have started a cupcake blog!!!! I will have to find out more about Sugarbaby…I agree, Crave is also wonderful!!!! and the Italian Cream cake from OhLala is to die for…..I’ll have to do more “investigating” this weekend!

Thank GOODNESS that paper doesn’t have calories, otherwise I would be in BIG trouble. Got to go to a Paper Source in Dallas (North Park) this week and my daughter had to drag me out. Bliss!!!

I welcome Paper Source to my hood, but gotta be honest…don’t get the cupcake craze. Whats with the all out love for artificial “food.” Sorry to be the black cloud on this “hip” fad. Personal correspondence is timeless. Cupcakes…not so much. But I love YOU all the same!

Holly thank you for posting about the Paper Source (not sure I should of learned about Sprinkles?!). I’ve been living in my cocoon here in Katy, & I know I’d find PS great fun. I may just have to tip toe past Sprinkles & not dare look in! ( : Happy Thursday to you ~ deb
