Bear with this mama. My baby just left for school. Daddy took him because his school is in another town and I will be doing the pick up. The baby is still asleep…it’s both sad and little wonderful too! The best part is Drew was SO excited, up early which is not like him and eager to go. Much different from last year when I had six week old infant and a big 4 year old not wanting to be left in the classroom. SO I am very thankful this morning. Very thankful. And excited for my boy.
We love you Drew. You are a sweet, strong, smart and funny little man. We prayed for you many days before you came into this world and now we can’t imagine life without you. Love, Mommy & Daddy

Precious pictures Holly! I’m sure he’s having a wonderful morning. I can’t wait to see my sweet Naya this evening and hear all about her first day of first grade. Such an emotional day.

I know how you feel about the mixed emotions. My baby just started 7th grade and I still get all “verklempt” the first day of school!

Oh Holly, I sooooo remember that first day of kindergarten! Bittersweet to be sure. I just took my firstborn to college two weeks ago…another first day scenario. Enjoy every moment and don’t feel bad if you shed a mommy tear or two.

Precious photos! Thanks for sharing such an important milestone. My little guy will be four this fall, and I just can’t get over how fast they grow up. It is sad and wonderful! I’m a teacher and we had our first day of school today with students. It made me reflect back to last year at this time when I had a new baby. So much has changed in just one year. I hope Drew has an awesome school year!

OH, what a sweetheart!! Look at those teeth! LOVE him to bits! Do you wonder if he did anything hysterically funny (like pretend to be statues…or perhaps something even better than that?!) at some point during the day? HAHAHA! I sure hope so!!

Holly, I hardly recognized Drew! He’s such a big boy now! Wow he’s growing up so fast! I agree with Camille in that his eyes really “pop” like yours!

Wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your mama stories! Our little Bry didn’t fare so well her first week at CCA but this week has been much much better!
