Easy headboard slipcover on HGTV

I did this project during Christmas break and used some of my favorite fabrics showing two different options/looks for the same bed!

Remember the chipper fabric that was going to be drapes? Well it went to another use-at least some of it!

I will be back later in the week to show the “glamorous” behind the scene details. Of course the other option had to be linen, the monogram was done at the Monogram Shop on San Felipe in Houston, Texas.

What room do you think i used to stage this project???? That’s right, my hard working dining room! And you probably notice some of my favorite  things pulled from around my home to stage this “room”…crazy!

  1. Fantastic! You know I love that chipper– I’ll have to take pics of all the places the yardage I bought from you has ended up– a skirted table, roman shades, and a duvet, and I might have enough left to make a couple of Gumdrop Pillows from the Amy Butler pattern, with a rust monogram for my boys like you suggested!

Girl, you are so talented!!! Love that pillow with the yellow flowers….did you make that too???

  8. My first thought: “Ohhh, Holly has done put a bed in the dining room.” Ha! And if you really HAD done that, I would more than likely think, “yup, I knew she was a genius.”

  9. Holly…..mad skills girl! Love both beds so very much 🙂

  10. Wow Holly- those are gorgeous! I can’t decide which one I love more but I do like the b/w with the sweet yellow pillow and ticking pillow mixed in. Such fun to know it was staged in your dining room. Congrats on the feature!!

The wonderful advice you gave me on my dining room will soon become a reality. I will hopefully have some pictures for you. You’re such a talented lady with beautiful fun ideas.

  14. Love it, holly! Now, can you make me one? just kidding. I love linen, and monograms, so I’m thinking that’s my fave. I love the color of the wall in your dining room, too. Can you share what color that is? 🙂

    xoxo

  15. HGTV…So cool! Great job on both headboards. I can’t choose a favorite. I love that pillow with the yellow flowers. Where can I get one? Or, how do I make one?

  16. that yellow flower (as many of you know.they are all over blogland) is from Target..would be easy to make just buy a plain pillow and make the flower from felt (using Jones Design company tutoria) and attach!

  18. Girlfriend, you are amazing!!!

  19. Love the linen slipcover! I was wondering if you could share where you found the white coverlet o n the b/w bed? Much like the twin one you have for sale in your flea. I love your style and am constantly inspired!!

  20. amazing! Love both of them and your styling. Amazing.

  21. Double wow! Way to go! You are one hardworking mama!

  22. LOVE this!!!

  23. I LOVE the monogrammed headboard!!

  24. Wow, I just LOVE that first look — the black and white fabric with yellow rose pillow. So sharp. I’ve been lurking here for a while, but I couldn’t resist making a comment this time. If I didn’t have such a low, low headboard and footboard, I’d be all over this project myself!

  25. I love the punches of color in that first one, and the serene look on the second!

  26. I WANT THAT YELLOW ROSE PILLOW!!!! You are awesome! And I love both! And I WANT THAT YELLOW ROSE PILLOW!!!

  27. Very pretty! You are something fierce girl!

  28. Holly!
