Toddler to tween girl room

Two sisters are going to share this room..they are now little girls but mom is hoping it will last them a while with tweeks here and there..i think this is a brilliant idea!

It was mom’s idea to do a accent wallpaper on the bed wall, love this idea…With bold paper, even on just this one wall, the bedding can be very simple but chair upholstery and maybe drapes will be more bold (pink fabric from Lewis & Sheron)..i think by changing out accessories and art over time this room will grow with the girls for many years.

LOVE this wallpaper by Graham & Brown (mom is not sure but i hope when she sees a sample she falls in love), linens from Pine Cone Hill including the pink check maybe for a duvet at the end of bed, monogram shams now, ruffle accent pillow from Layla Grace later, monograms by yours truly..! I think the flax color linen either on drapes or the table between the bed is really a nice contrast to all of the pink and color, you dont want it to be too “shelby from Steel Magnolias”!  Peacock print  by Sugarfresh of course. Linen banner inspiration from Olive Manna. Beds and chandelier from Restoration Hardware kids and the amazing bunny lamp is from Shades of Light! Dolls from Bla Bla of course.

Girly stuff is so fun..i love my job!

  1. Lovely. I can’t decide what I love more the drapes, the artwork, or the metal beds {so hard to find two cute matching twin beds!}. Thank you for the inspiration Holly!

  2. very sweet!

  3. This is so pretty! And thanks for mentioning your sources – that fabric source is awesome. I’m going to check it out for fabric for panels in my daughter’s room.

  4. I love the idea of a papered accent wall! The paper you chose is just wonderful, too. I love it! My question is, what color are the other walls then? Thanks!

  5. Holly,

I LOVE this and I do love that you offer sources for the items that are available to the general public. So, when you say the monograms are yours truly….do you have a machine???? I am curious because I LOVE monograms and I love the unique look of this one. Or do you get them done locally? I use the monogram shop (on San Felipe) or the place in the Village but neither offer really unique monograms.

  6. I <3 the wallpaper!! I just updated my 2.5 year olds bedroom a couple months and was looking for wallpaper that looked exactly like this to use for an accent wall! It looks just like the wallpaper in the little girl, Lizzy's, room in one of the Tinker Bell movies, which is one my daughter's favorites! Ended up doing pale pink horizontal stripes on her wall (a la Sarah Richardson's hotel room makeover)…looks just as cute I think! But I am definitely saving this source…thanks!!!

  7. I love it!!!

  8. Love it!

  9. Love this – the wallpaper is just the perfect bit to keep it sophisticated but fun! Now I’m convinced I did well with my own little girlie’s room … she’s five and we recently updated from toddler to school girl. We have similar drapes and chandelier, one wall with extra paint detail and still lots of little girl toches.

    Thank you!

  10. Love this room! I just had my first girl and I can’t wait for her to have her own room so I can do something like this! And I LOVE the tailored skirt on that table!

  11. Love Pine Cone Hill. I’ve used something from them on every bed in my house. Are you embroidering monograms now? You know how I love the Darling Monograms!

  12. I absolutely love this! Thank you for incorporating my peacock print, it coordinates beautifully!
