A reader’s charming nursery

A talented reader recently sent me some photos of her son’s nursery..i was so in love with it i asked if i could share with you.  Emily is from Oklahoma and living in Houston, she writes the blog Dear Owen.  Isn’t Owen a little doll baby!?!

And i love the bumper pad …all sewn by his Mimi!

Emily told me she was inspired by several blogs when creating the nursery including sources i had shared such as the urban outfitters table and Barn Light Electric light., along with Jones Design Company and Honey and Fritz.

There are so many wonderful details in this room..my fave THE DRAPES! Again by Mimi!

You can see more of Owen’s nursery here and all of the sources for the room are listed on this post as well… Thanks for letting me share your charming nursery Emily..you did good Mama!

  1. Oh, this is darling! I love the linen that she used and the color palette is perfect.

  2. Love, love this nursery! I loved the map at first sight, but knowing the history make it all the more charming. A wonderful mix of family treasures, antiques & new finds. It’s not cutsey babt nursery, but definitely something that will continue to grow with him.

  3. What a pulled together, simply sweet nursery. I love that it’s not too sweet though, and that it truly is a room that adorable little babe can grown in.

  4. I love the colours in this nursery. I agree the drapes with the trim look amazing and I love maps on walls. I have to agree he is one adorable baby.

  5. gorgeous nursery! it’s so hard to do a baby boy’s nursery without it getting “theme-y”. this is perfection.

  6. The drapes and the light and the colors and the map…oh my! Love it all. Simply sweet…the room and the child! Thanks for sharing.

  8. Hi Holly. I am a fairly new reader to your blog but just love it and love all the projects you do. I am getting so much inspiration here! This nursery is lovely and I definitely see some of your influence in it. So glad your little one is recovering. I remember having my tonsils out when I was about his age–not fun until you get to eat all the ice cream you want! I look forward to reading more of your posts!
