Baby Love

My sweet friend Rachel had a baby recently…..early!  So her baby shower became a sip and see which was wonderful!  It was so fun for me to collect pink things in preparation and pull together with friends.  We had the special event at a beautiful home, which made it all so easy and fun for me… I just had to coordinate the decorating!

We did all white on the table, mostly cakestands from my collection and that of my friend Christi of the Brown Shed.  So fun to use our stuff together.  Another friend made the muffins and banana pudding…All I had to do was garnish and serve. So easy and cute! It’s impossible to do this kind of thing without friends, at least for me.

The pink muffin wrappers, large balloons and stripe spoons are from Sweet LuLu and the garland from Rifle Paper at Paper Source.  I love Rifle Paper! In fact the invitation (by artist Kelli Murray) actually really resembles Rifle paper designs to me so i loved that!

Close up of the banner and petit fours from Moellers Bakery in Houston! So yummy. And don’t you love her name?!  Pepper Caroline!

And another jar shot..ha!

The half pint jars worked so well for the banana pudding. (thanks Jill they were so cute AND tasty!) I used the Martha labels from Staples.  I admit i had to get help printing them (thanks Kristi P..see it takes a village to pull this stuff off) but they turned out cute and stuck to the cold jars!  I wiped the jars several time out of fridge before sticking and voila!  I was going to tie the spoons on but sticking them in with a wafer worked fast and easy and still cute!

The baby book was simply from Hobby Lobby with paper and font from my stash. We did simple “newborn, 3, 6, 9  and one year” pages and a few others that the mom of three can just slip handwritten notes and photos into…no fancy scrapbooking just a place to stick jotted down memories and photos.

Again, such a pretty room, love the art in the background. Love Christi’s polka dot vases.

And the mantle didn’t need much..just a little baby love!

I don’t have photos of mama + baby or guests because I had to duck out early…wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want to spread germs but it was a beautiful shower! Elegant but fun!

Thank you so much Cathy for letting us have this celebration in your beautiful home and thank you to all who helped.  Last but not least, God bless you Miss Pepper Caroline and your amazing family! We love you.
