Here are a few more random photos…I went simpler this year..no garland on fireplace and its feels cleaner and fresh…next year who knows;;
I used bayleaf this year on front door instead of boxwood and its held up pretty well..its done better inside than out..I still love boxwood and preserved boxwood is the best as you know. I am not sure where this ribbon is from…I had it in my stash.
The last few years I have used large silhouette ornaments I made from craft frames and various silhouettes of my boys. I was inspired by the tree here done by Juliet Romano that was in BHG years and years ago (2001? the olden days before Pinterest;;)….now I see people using silhouettes EVERYWHERE…like monograms, a classic gone trendy!
I love bottle brush trees! My stockings are from the Monogram Shoppe in Houston on San Felipe.
My best Christmas decoration…freshly painted built ins….awwww! Thankful for that project getting done before the holidays!

You have ghost chairs in your living room! I’ve been looking at various ghost chairs just this week for my daughter’s bedroom desk, but in the end decided on a bentwood chair. I was nervous that the ghost chairs would be a little rickety, like a cheap patio chair. Would love to know your experience and thoughts on those (as well as which seller you bought yours from) because I may still go that way in the future for another room in my house. xo HDH.

Hi Holly, Your home looks amazing! I noticed the woven rug in the family room. I am wondering what your experience is with kids and that rug. I am about to buy that rug through pottery barn and have had second thoughts because I was thinking that if something were to spill on it, how would you clean it. Its not like you can just whip out your carpet spray like you would on a regular textured carpet. Whats your take?

Absolutely charming! I adore the letters on the tree, ticking chair with plaid pillow, and your updated bookshelves with new blue and white jars. It all looks so fresh yet timeless. Where have you found the bottle brush trees? I’ve been looking without any luck this year.

hi holly I was wondering if ur tree was real or artificial? my hubby and son are allergic to real trees and I luv the look of yours and was hoping *fingers crossed* it was artificial and you could share your source. I luv the simplicity of your décor and i’m learning that less is more also. thanks!
