Dreams DO come true

Sometimes GOOD things finally happen.

{Thank you to my dear friend Natalie Lacy Lange for stopping by and capturing these pics on the day I first opened!}

Not to sound ungrateful that life isn’t always perfect or that there aren’t always some small blessings each and every day, even on the worst day.

       But sometimes you get to see a dream come to fruition that has been growing in your heart for years, maybe decades and then finally, finally you get closer and closer and finally it happens.

And you get to exhale and say “God did this” through the help of others who love and encourage you to not give up and that “no you aren’t crazy.”  In a million ways. He provides.  He truly DOES see the desires of our hearts. I truly believe that.  He knows us like no other.  It isn’t always a yes answer. Sometimes He says no. or later.  But sometimes it gets to be a yes.  OH HAPPY DAY!  Thank you Lord for seeing me and making me the way you did and letting me be ME in this big wide world.

This small studio isn’t full on retail for me.  It’s a pop up shop and part of my office, my working studio where I work on homes and design which is my real job ( a dream in itself I know).. It is crazy to juggle. But to finally take it another step and to just be able to finally hang out an OPEN sign for my own little space, even if its temporary, it feels so good.  So keep dreaming you dreamers, staying true to your calling and dreams does feel pretty darn good.

It is more than just a pillow and playing shop.  It’s about following dreams and taking chances and leaning in to tough time and leaning into a heavenly Father like never before!

This building is old and dusty and often leaks but look at that old brick and original beadboard ceiling..inspires me everyday. Old and layered and full of story!

And the Eugene brass pendants are just the best, I first fell in love with them when helping design the True Blue Home store in nearby Chappell Hill and they are just great lights! They are available via True Blue Home and one of the most reasonable Visual Comfort pendant lights which makes them even better! They work in so many spots and come in two sizes.

  1. Awww Holly. I am so happy for you. I left there today and thought, “wow, that’s what it looks like to see God work through someone to bring a dream to fruition.” It is just so “you” (well the “you” I’ve gotten to know via your blog/FB/instagram) It is so calming, so perfectly collected, so inspiring. All the things you are are out on display. I love it. Don’t stop dreaming big and letting those dreams play out. I love for you that this little space gets to be an outlet for you. You inspire SO many of us…I’m so glad you have this space. I can’t wait to come back, visit your store, visit YOU again. Congrats and keep going. Don’t stop doing the thing God made you for. Your boys get to see their momma living out a dream. Not perfect, but worth it! 🙂
