Louisiana Home Tour!

screen-shot-2016-12-04-at-6-13-18-pm

I have been working on this beautiful home in Louisiana for nearly two years…since the beginning stages and plans!  So its such a delight to see it come to fruition and finally be a warm, cozy home for my client’s family!  I posted about the construction here.

And now it has boxwood and Christmas decorations and the sounds of children inside !

The homeowners were asked to participate in a local home tour that will be this Saturday evening, December 10th, in Thibodaux, Louisiana.  Details are here and  at the bottom of this post if you would like to attend and or donate to the cause of the tour.

Here are a few sneak peeks! (these are just phone pics so they do not give this home justice but they are better than nothing right) enjoy!

Homebuilder on this project was Chris Ledet Homes and the architect was Mike Bougeois. The fresh garlands and wreaths from Green Acres in Thibodaux, with magnolia woven in by yours truly;;  They were all so patient and as you can see, extremely talented!

Of course we decorated with lots of magnolia, simple satin ribbon (it is red not pink;) and oyster trees! I love that the house is new but has such a historic feel…so many Louisiana elements like brick floors, wood walls and floors, Audubon prints, elevated porches and gas lanterns! I had to add some of my faves too like the brass lights in kitchen and the art from Lindsay Letters for the season.

The house is such a pretty setting too..the trees down there just make me gasp..such beauty.

The dining room is right inside the front door with study to right…classic central hall design.

This antique french dining table that I baby’d in storage for over a year came from Marburger Farm.  So fun to see it finally decorated with greens ready for entertaining!  The drapery fabric is Pierre Frey and the chairs were monogrammed and reupholstered via Gracie’s Custom Interiors in Houston! All of the drapes in the home were constructed by Ronda Crockett of Jouli Designs (you can reach her at 985-232-2519).

The outdoor ribbon is actually a red herringbone..its reads a soft red/pink from a distance but you get close it is red herringbone..it is from True Blue Home..in fact many of the accessories in the home came from True Blue Home as well as new furnishings from Ethan Allen (the kid friendly sofas) and antiques from Leftovers Antiques in Brenham!

This particular light from Visual Comfort is discontinued so glad we got it for this house..along with gray cabinets, old rug and brass faucet.

Chairs below…Schumacher floral on front and stripe on back…and the secretary is an early Round Top find by the client!

Upstairs is a nice great play space with natural light..that entire front shed window IS PLAYROOM!

Les Indiennes pillow from True Blue Home (i get all of my Les Indiennes and John Robshaw pillows there fyi) worked in with Christmas gifts and pillow!

Notice the Lindsay Letters 12 days of Christmas cards on the garland, big blue dot pillow from True Blue Home

and street signs from Old Glory Antiques!  And the mudroom, back downstairs entrance is on the left with more Les Indiennes pillow From TBH and banner from my pop up shop…so cute!

I love this entire extended family..the hospitality down there is amazing and I wish I could be at the tour but I hope some of you can attend.  I will be home with my own Bebes;; but I will be there in spirit!

  8. So very pretty! I just absolutely love everything you do. Can you share where the window coverings are from? They don’t look like the Tortoise ones I have in my notes that you usually do. Thank you for always inspiring me! One day I hope to use all my notes and try to make my house look like the ones you do!!
