Round Top Antique ShowWeekend Events

Well it is time to go!  Many of you have been there for days already…tell me what you are seeing? Anything NEW (meaning original, creative, different?) what are your favorites??  You can read some of my previous posts about Texas Antiques Week (or simply “Round Top” as it is called locally) here and here.

The Round Top  Chamber and Newspaper also have some good sources including maps and show dates….Remember Marburger and other specific shows like Red Barn, where my friend Melisse sets up each year, don’t start until next week!

This Friday is a fun party at Old Glory Antiques in Burton. If you come and see us I may even show you around the OG Texas house, the one that was recently in Country Living, it is right next to the shop!  It will be a fun night!

Burton has really rolled out the carpet to welcome guests this show….I know you are tired and dusty or antsy and excited coming through Burton but stop at some point, its such a good town and worth it! Old Glory is open until April 4 from 12-7!

And then Saturday night is the annual Jazz Fest at nearby Leftovers Antiques, I hope to make that event too, always fun…refreshments, music AND 20% off!

Have fun, drive safe, don’t get a ticket and please say hello if I see you out in the tents and fields or at these events…I would love to hug your neck!

Pressing Events Big Sale

My friends at Pressing Events are having a big sale this weekend with deep markdowns on select, retired Mackenzie-Childs, some Crane monograms notes and other printables…even some Conseula bags and more…  they are making way for some big changes, EXCITING changes so go by and get in on the close out of some cute stuff!

{note the stag isn’t on sale but don’t we all need a check him}

This below is my fave, the Mackenzie-Childs courtly check in enamel, it’s so classic.  I had never wanted any because I had always lived in a house with a check floor but now I am in the new old house I am craving some checks and I think plates in this pattern will be perfect touch of check I need…Ok so this isn’t on sale but Pressing Events always has it lots (fyi cute husbands) of this pattern in stock! My faves the canister set with brass accents and the teapot!

Pressing Events is located in City Centre area of Town and Country…next to Pronto! and not far from Kendra Scott, PaperSource, Anthro, Sur la Table on one side and just down the way from Pottery Barn and Barnes and Noble in the main Town and Country shopping area…Its so easy to find off tollway and I-10 and memorial area. They have paper, baby items, wrap, wreaths, Christmas ornaments, my fave Barefoot dreams wraps for adults, candles and more.  And they are nice.  Nancy and Victor and Edward are the kindest…They will do custom Christmas cards for you with a million emails and tweaks and never make you feel rushed.  They are the old time type storekeepers.  Class acts.

This Casapri wrap looks like Scalamadre wallpaper to me!  LOVE IT…of course the things I really like aren’t on sale but a lot will be!

And I am sorry this fuzzy but had to show you the courtly check WRAPPING paper from Mackenzie-Childs..they have it at Pressing Events..not on sale but its available!

These select Mackenzie-Childs pieces that are retired ARE on sale…love me a fluted edge don’t you? And a check!
