Pottery Barn pillows & Round Top

OK so I went out to Warrenton today (am I wrong to assume that everyone who reads my blog knows about the famous Round Top antiques Fair started in the 1960s by Emma Lee Turney as a HIGH quality antiques market..”Round Top” has grown and now includes not only the museum quality show Turney founded but also now spans miles and miles and varies in quality and price like the texas weather, there is truly something for everyone..no time or energy to explain any more..google Round Top if you have not heard;;;) anyway, it was hot. I did not intend to go…my client and i were just going to make a quick trek to the La Bahia show on the outskirts of the madness but the Seed Box booth has moved close to Clutter so we went on out there..with Henry…poor baby Henry..i just could not stay too long..he was getting too hot..so thankful for clients that understand being a mommy must come first. OK so we were only there an hour and found some great stuff…like super long vintagey jumbo rulers and a large old survey wheel to hang on the wall…no pictures of course..sorry. so that’s my sad mini-report from Round Top..i did see lots of burlap on everything, old new, tacky, awesome…big shock!

and then i got home and i had a package..my own mass produced burlap! that’s ok iwth me…so my pottery barn pillows finally arrived..they are nice feeling, soft dont have an odor really, or have holes and are cheaper than the old antique ones..i love the lumbar and the Francais cafe one with the stripe..returning the Brazil one..no offense brasil just not feeling it..check them out

also in love with this pillow from PB..gorgeous..will look great in a very Southern looking, calico corners-ish living room i am working on..yellow walls, red fabrics on sofa and chair..some big monograms i am sure evenually and this pillow..get it while it lasts..style for the masses only stays in stores so long;;;;

so that’s it…i go to Round Top and i end up still talking about Pottery Barn!
