Little boy’s bathroom

I can’t wait to show you this cute little boy’s bathroom. It has all the things I love, a bit of wood warmth, a bit of industrial and a lot of vintage charm and whimsy.

I love designing kids space and this boy’s bedroom that adjoins today’s bath feature was one of my faves…see here for more.

ADJOINING BEDROOM:

Yes it’s the room with the gray bunk beds…we actually painted the bathroom walls the same color as the bunk bed…Benjamin Moore Chelsea Gray.

By doing this we took the grays and rustic feel on in to his little bath and I love how it all flows together but still isn’t too matchy! And the white beadboard addition keeps the dark walls from being too dark which was needed because there is no natural light in the tiny bath.

THE BATHROOM:

The white grey combo with a pop of color in the accessories turned out perfect for this space…cozy but not too dark!

I love this little collage wall, initially it was going to be more simple but we collected too many cute things we wanted to use like the flashcards and vintage football wallhangings!  These are all things this little boy loves: cowboys, dinosaurs, football, antlers and bugs!  I love the hooks and towels with monogrammed numbers!

We used the cute Pullman light from Shades of Light to add some vintage charm but still give plenty of over the sink lighting!

This bathroom has no window and no natural light so I was unable to turn off lights for the photo, thus the glare but I thought you might want to see anyway! I love the rope towel holder and prints from Rifle Paper Co.

The little master that uses this bathroom is only seven years old but I think this space will really grow with him into teenhood.

The BEFORE below:

This is a new house so the vanity and tile and basics of the room were new and totally fine.  My client just wanted to go back and add some charm and we did that with the addition of the beadboard, switching out mirror, light and faucet and everything else was decorative like the prints and hooks and towel rings etc.

Really just painting the walls and changing light and mirror and the accessorizing would have been a great change but adding the beadboard really made a nicer difference.  So glad the client did that as well!

But as usual my favorite things are the accessories, the little things that give the space its personality and finishing touches!

I will be back later in the week to share more sources and links on those details..thanks for looking! And thanks to the little man for letting me share his adorable bathroom!
