Liberty of London: A review

Soooooo, how many of you noticed the floral bunny decals on the door of the local Target this weekend??  I think the Liberty of London craze might have debuted early in some stores (I might have gotten at least one excited text about the items on Friday..see picture below!) but they were officially due out on Sunday.  And I was there.

{image snapped by my friend Linsey who sent a text saying she found some of the items out early in Houston on Friday!}

When my mom and I arrived at the local Target on Sunday shortly after noon, the Liberty handbags were ALL gone…but no fear, there were plenty other things left:  scarves, dresses, candles, plates, stationery (and that is just the stuff I bought..ha..just kidding..) seriously something in every department (except little boys..darn!) I even heard there is a Liberty bicycle available at some Target stores.

Two things I adore.

This will make a great Easter dress with sweater and pearls.  And the “shirtdress” below is in the swimsuit section..I thought it was a coverup but the tag says shirt dress, I wore it with tights today like a tunic.  I love the print.  In fact I like the prints with black and not the pastel-y ones so much. {BTW, the Union Jacks in the background are always on display on my porch..I did not stage this…except for bringing my clothes outside and putting on a mannequin!}

I didn’t purchase any of the home decor items from Liberty (thought I may go back for some plates!) but they did have some cute storage bins and quilts and shams..great for a teen or dorm. And the little girl clothing was CUTE!

What do you think of the Liberty for Target products?  Any opinions out there? Have any of my readers ever been to Liberty in London?? How about Fortum & Mason, I have always wanted to visit there as well…I hear it is the quintessential London dept store…definitely on my list for next visit, whenever that may me!  Until, Target baby!

  4. I bought frames and a storage box for delivering my mom’s birthday present. I have been anxiously waiting for Liberty and London to arrive at my Target and was a bit disappointed at the limited supply of things at my store. I added a wallet and some adorable lingerie/pjs to my wish list though.

  5. My goodness! I can’t believe I was just at Tar-zhay this afternoon. I didn’t know about this! I’ll be heading back for sure! I saw some of the stationary on an end cap, and thought it looked cute, but I was in a hurry. I love what you got… so cute!

    Thanks for the reminder!! Been eyeing those colorful ads for a while now…..I am still in Lubbock babysitting so Abbie and I made our very first Target Trip!!! And found some of the cutest baby dresses for $12.99!!!! Other shops would have charged $50+ for these sweet dresses!! And they had the cutest garden center stuff too!! Really great looking accent pillows and the list goes on and on…..Target is a marketing genious!!

  12. I bought so much it’s embarassing! I could open a small shop! Boots, dresses, swimsuits, candles, frames, organization bins. The pic above is only a teeny snapshot of my insanity! What can I say…the florals work well for my girly crew! 😉

  13. P.S. I admire your restraint!

  14. I went a little crazy. I have two little girls, so the dresses and other outfits were irresistable. Unfortunately most of the home decor items don’t match our home, so I only bought a few storage bins and platters for parties (little girls garden parties!). I also may have bought several shirts for me, maybe an umbrella, and a new wallet-whoops!

  15. Oh, I have been to Fortum & Mason. It’s so wonderful… it smells so wonderful. You really should get tea and scones with clotted cream when you are there. It’s magical. I felt like I was in a British children’s tale. So good. 🙂

  16. I noticed the little girl items while shopping for a swimsuit for my daughter. I was very impressed,as the styling was definitely a step up from the usual Target fare.

  17. Oh..I am going across the border next week…will definately hit target! have been to Liberty of London many times…it is beautiful! certainly not these prices you mentiones LOL. F&M is also a must see if you go.

  18. Just wore that shirtdress over jeans with open-toe pumps Sunday! Went to watch my brothers’ band play. Got TONS of compliments!!! Will be wearing it over my red strapless bathing suit this summer, too. I think every girl should own one!
